Adoptable Medium Mix Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotsHouse trained

Breed (best guess): Coonhound Mix
Sex: Female, spayed
Estimated Birth Date: 7/28/2020
Size: medium (currently about 50 pounds)
Good With Kids: Unknown but she should be fine with any age
Good With Cats: Unknown but being a hound she may chase them
Good With Dogs: Yes
Housetrained: She uses a dog door in her foster home when she needs to go out.
Crate Trained: No. She’ll go in the crate but will bark. She wants to be with her people.

Recommended Environment: Bella would love a fenced in yard for quality hound time. She is nose down all the time. As a typical hound she barks to register a complaint or to express excitement; she will benefit from tolerant neighbors and probably isn’t suited to apartment life. Regular walks and visits to the dog park are a must! Belle is the ideal hiking/camping/traveling companion.

Additional Information: Belle tested positive for heartworm, a horrible but easily prevented affliction. A.D.O.P. T. will pay for Belle’s continued treatment as long as she is seen by our vet. The vet feels she will make a full recovery. Belle was on her own for awhile and has some issues with sharing food and treats. Her foster is working on her resource guarding but her new owner will need to watch her during feeding if there is another dog in the home. Belle is docile, compliant, adventuresome, curious, cuddly and loving. She will be the best addition to someone’s home.
