Rudy
Breed: Hound Mix
Sex: Male, too young to neuter
Estimated Birthdate: 1/15/2022
Size: Currently 22 pounds. We think he will be around 50 pounds full grown
Good With Kids: Unknown but we feel children over 6 years old should be fine
Good With Cats: Unknown
Good With Dogs: Yes
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Recommended Environment: Rudy will benefit from a home where his family will continue his training, using only positive reinforcement. He is very treat-motivated, which helps. He can be a bit bull-headed at times! Rudy is definitely an alpha male so any other dog in the home would need to be submissive. We are also working on his resource guarding; the boy doesn’t like to share his food.
Additional Information: Rudy comes across as the most serious puppy. He watches everything, just taking it all in. He loves attention and taking naps next to his people. Rudy and his siblings Tigger and Rosie were not exposed to much in their previous lives. They are a little timid when meeting new people and going to new places; though they adjust quickly.
Adoption is restricted to a 30 mile radius of Columbus, Ohio so that we can complete his vaccinations and neuter surgery at our vet.

Volunteer Application
We are an all volunteer organization based in Westerville, Ohio. To ensure that the pet is placed in a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment we require that one of our volunteers completes a home visit with any approved applicants.
Please note that we require that all pets in the household be spayed or neutered and are kept up to date on their vaccinations. All dogs must receive heartworm prevention.
We are currently reviewing applications within a 30 mile radius from Columbus, and from applicants age 22 and older. This does not mean your application will not be considered for a dog who has not been receiving many applications. We want to make sure all of our dogs find a good, forever home!
For dogs in the Canine-Inmate Program: Visits to the prison to meet a dog can only be made Monday through Friday between 8:30 am – 2:30 pm due to the facility’s visitation policies.
