Duke
Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix
Sex: Male, neutered
Estimated Birthdate: 10/13/2019
Size: 36 but needs to put on some weight. He should be at least 40 pounds
Good With Kids: Unknown but most likely yes. Children over 6 years should be good
Good With Cats: Unknown
Good With Dogs: Yes
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Recommended Environment: Duke would do best in a home. He is vocal in his crate and doesn’t like being left alone; he won’t make a good apartment neighbor. He prefers that his people don’t leave him alone for long periods of time. He enjoys his canine companions so if there isn’t another dog in the home he will love regularly scheduled playtime with some friends.
Additional Information: Duke is such a loving dog. He is alert and likes to please his person. Both bode well for his continued training! He is great on a leash and is doing well learning his commands. He is a smart boy and continuing training is recommended.

Adoption Application
Foster Application
Volunteer Application
We are an all volunteer organization based in Westerville, Ohio. To ensure that the pet is placed in a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment we require that one of our volunteers completes a home visit with any approved applicants.
Please note that we require that all pets in the household be spayed or neutered and are kept up to date on their vaccinations. All dogs must receive heartworm prevention.
We are currently reviewing applications within a 30 mile radius from Columbus, and from applicants age 22 and older. This does not mean your application will not be considered for a dog who has not been receiving many applications. We want to make sure all of our dogs find a good, forever home!
For dogs in the Canine-Inmate Program: Visits to the prison to meet a dog can only be made Monday through Friday between 8:30 am – 2:30 pm due to the facility’s visitation policies.
