Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim is an adorable Chihuahua/Terrier(?) mix who arrived with 2 of his brothers. He is the smallest of the group, a snuggler, and a great puppy all around. He’s doing great with puppy pad training and knows to go in his crate and wait patiently for his food! We don’t have any history on this litter so it is still too early to guess how big they will ultimately be (best guess no more than 12-15 lbs.) Tiny will need continued socialization, training and vet care to be a happy and well balanced boy. Because he still needs vaccination boosters and his neuter surgery by our local veterinarian, he can be adopted in the COLUMBUS vicinity only. If you’d like to meet this little man, please fill out an online application.
Estimated birthdate: September 15, 2016
Weight: 3-4 lbs (guestimate 12-15 full grown)
Good with cats: young enough to socialize
Good with kids: young enough to socialize
Housebroken: in progress doing well
**in home foster**

Ace

Ace

Ace is about as cute as they make ’em! He is a large breed mix, German Shepherd/Retriever and probably a couple of others! What we do know is that he is an outgoing, happy, social and funny guy. He came in with his brother and is currently part of our canine/inmate program. Ace is a typical puppy that will require continued socialization and training. Because he still needs to be neutered and get his vaccination boosters, Ace will be available for adoption in the Columbus vicinity only! Please fill out an online application if you are interested in meeting this little cutie!

Daisy

Daisy

Daisy is the only surviving puppy from a litter of 10. She and her mom (Peach) came to us from a hoarding/neglect case and none of her brothers or sisters survived the freezing conditions that they were kept in outside. She is currently in a foster home receiving the care she desperately needed. Daisy will be ready for her forever home after February 9th, when she is old enough to leave her mom. She will be a small sized terrier mix. Because of her young age, this lovely girl will be available in the Columbus area only. Please fill out our online form if you’€™d like to meet Daisy.

Max

Max
Max is a beautiful Black Lab (mix?) He is currently 65 lbs but we would like to see him closer to 70+. Max was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter before joining A.D.O.P.T. He has a very affectionate disposition and loves to be with people. He will sit at your side and place his paw on you, almost as if to be sure you are still there! Max has joined our canine/inmate program where he is learning his basic commands and how to walk well on a leash. He is a typical young Lab with an athletic build and needs regular exercise. If you would like to meet Max, please fill out an online application.

Peach

Peach

Peach is a terrier mix who came to us from a hoarding/neglect case. She was timid, underweight and nursing her only surviving pup, Daisy. Peach had been kept outdoors and the rest of her litter did not survive. She is now in a foster home and ready to find a family that will love her forever. She is very sweet, loves to snuggle, and has been a wonderful momma. She has come out of her shell and is a happy tail wagging girl. She is a wonderful little lap dog that adores all the attention she has been missing most of her life. Peach will be available for adoption after February 9th, when her baby Daisy is old enough to leave her. If you would like to meet this sweet little “peach”, please fill out an online application.

* Animal: Dog
* Breed: Boxer mix
* Sex: Male
* Age: 1 year

Hi my name is Riley. I am a 1 year old male and a Boxer mix. My foster mom and dad say that I play like a puppy but this is most likely my boxer personality. I love to chase laser pointers and curl up on the couch or by the fire. I also love to play outside and go for walks. I know my basic commands and am a quick learner. You can see a video of me playing with a laser here and on our youtube channel.

Buttercup

[singlepic id=1172 w=320 h=240 float=center]

* Animal: Dog
* Breed: Pomeranian mix
* Sex: Female
* Age: 2 years

Meet Buttercup.  She has to be one of the happiest little dogs you could ever meet!  She will even give you a “smile” now and again.  When she first came to us she was a little scared of men but has grown to trust them as soon as they talk to her.  She loves to be next to you and gives kisses all the time!  She adores kids!  She follwed a 1yr old who visited her everywhere!  She loves other dogs too.  She has a Pommie and German Shepherd friend at her foster home.   She  and the Pommie can play for hours.   The German Shepherd is older and she has learned to respect him and not bother him unless he wants to play.  She even plays with the cats…when they let her that is.  She is housetrained and knows sit, down and stay (most of the time).  She enjoys being outside so if you like to do things in the yard or go to the park she would love to do that with you.  She keeps trying to catch the deer in her foster home’s backyard but so far no luck with that.  She does chase them back over the fence and away from the garden…what a little helper she is!  All around a great happy little girl who gets along with everyone….won’t you let her bring a little joy into your home?

Rachel

[singlepic id=1182 w=320 h=240 float=center]

* Animal: Dog
* Breed: Beagle mix
* Sex: Female
* Age: 3 years old

Rachel is an adorable Beagle mix looking for a good home. She was pulled from a rural shelter in Ohio where she was the office greeter and a favorite. Rachel is about 3 years and just under 35 lbs. She loves to play with her foster sister and brother. She is extremely affectionate and loves all people. Nylabones are her favorite chew toys. Rachel is a typical Beagle mix and loves to watch/chase birds, squirrels, and anything small that moves. For that reason, Rachel would do best in a home without cats. Rachel is a talented athlete and would make a great agility dog. She would do best in a home with a privacy fence (she is quite the jumper) or with someone who is looking for a walking buddy. If you are interested in meeting Rachel, please complete an online adoption application.

*Sex: Male

Hi!  I’m Nick!  I was rescued on that crazy 4th of July weekend running around a neighborhood just across the Cincinnati border in Kentucky.  I’m a very smart dog and know sit, down, and stay.  I am housebroken, and am a great apartment dog.  I’m outgoing and love attention.  I’ve seen a couple cats and think they would be awfully fun to chase.  I can be a little stubborn, but with positive reinforcement I’m very willing to learn new things. I love going for car rides and walks and don’t even pull on my leash. I am very vocal so I might sound scary at first but I am just trying to talk to you.  I am very protective of my owners and don’t let strangers too close. I love standing at the window and keeping watch over the neighborhood. Unfortunately I still am a little worried that I will be back on the streets so I try to eat all the food I can get to (Including opening up refrigerators and jumping on counters). I am very crazy about human food so KEEP IT AWAY! I am an attention hog and love being pet and played with.
